In a landmark step for futsal development, the Futsal Coaches Association Uganda (FCAU) is set to convene its first-ever Annual General Meeting (AGM) — a major milestone in strengthening the sport’s coaching structures across the country.
Scheduled for Thursday, 13th November 2025 starting from 9am at the Old Kampala Futsal Arena Boardroom, the AGM forms part of the Futsal Association of Uganda’s (FAU) broader strategic efforts to enhance governance, professional growth, and coordination among all futsal stakeholders — including coaches, referees, players, and clubs.
FAU General Secretary Mugera Ibrahim emphasized the importance of the meeting, noting:
“This AGM is a key step in ensuring that coaches have a unified platform to discuss challenges, share ideas, and contribute to the overall growth of futsal in Uganda. Strong governance at the coaching level translates directly to stronger players, referees, and clubs.”
FCAU Chairperson Segawa Alex echoed the excitement surrounding the event:
“We are thrilled to welcome all our members to this historic meeting. The AGM will not only reflect on our achievements but also chart a clear roadmap for the future of futsal coaching in Uganda.”
FAU has called upon all FCAU members to attend and take part in shaping the next phase of futsal’s evolution in Uganda. The inaugural AGM stands as a clear demonstration of FAU’s commitment to inclusive development, strategic governance, and the professional advancement of the futsal ecosystem.
