FC Luzira is on a remarkable run this season, and on Thursday evening, they made history as the first Futsal Super League club to score 100 goals this season.
The milestone was achieved during their 6-2 victory over Aidenal FC in the team’s 16th league game played at Old Kampala Futsal Arena.
Ivan Alioni was the player who had the honor of scoring the historic goal.
The team boasts an impressive array of goal scorers, with Arafat Ssentogo, Joshua Aziku, Samuel Omara, and Edmund Bithum accounting for 62 of the 100 goals.
Ssentogo is a top contender for the golden boot with 21 goals, followed closely by captain Aziku with 15 goals, while Omara and Bithum have each contributed 13 goals.
Currently sitting in second place on the league standings with 36 points from 16 games, FC Luzira is eight points behind the undefeated league leaders, Park FC, with six games remaining in the season including the matchup between these two sides next Thursday.
