betPawa FSL: Top Two in Action as Matchday 14 Kicks Off

Leaders Park FC and second-placed FC Luzira will headline the action on Thursday evening as Matchday 14 of the betPawa Futsal Super League gets underway at the Old Kampala Futsal Arena.

FC Luzira will kick off the evening’s proceedings as they take on a resurgent Kampala Junior Team.

Luzira enters the match in scintillating form, having netted an impressive 19 goals in their last two outings. They cruised past Kabowa Dream Team with a 7-3 victory before demolishing Edgars Youth Programme with a commanding 12-2 win last Friday.

Their objective is to narrow the gap with Park FC to just two points by securing a victory over KJT, who currently occupy the eighth spot on the league table and have clinched victories in their last two matches since the resumption. The Academy side started the second round with a convincing 6-2 win over Kawempe before edging past Kabowa with a 2-0 triumph last Thursday.

In their previous encounter in the first leg, Luzira comfortably defeated KJT with an 8-2 scoreline.

Following Luzira’s match, Park FC will look to maintain their unbeaten streak as they face off against Edgars Youth Programme.

The reigning Futsal Uganda Cup champions remain undefeated after 13 games, dropping points only twice so far – in draws against Kabowa (2-2) and Nansana ASKA (5-5).

In their previous outing last week, Park FC rallied from behind to secure a 3-1 victory over Aidenal FC, despite not performing at their best.

Their opponents, Edgars Youth Programme, have struggled to find consistency throughout the season, with only four wins in 13 matches, placing them 10th on the league table with 12 points. Moreover, they are winless in their last four games, with their most recent victory dating back to Matchday nine against Kawempe FC.

In the reverse fixture earlier in the season, Park FC emerged victorious with a commanding 5-0 win, aiming to replicate their success in the upcoming encounter.

In addition to the clashes involving the top two teams, Thursday’s fixtures will also feature a match between Mengo City and Kisugu FC, with both teams level on 20 points heading into the game.
