FAU, betPawa unveil new Futsal Super League identity

In the glamorous event held at Serena Hotel on Friday morning, the Futsal Association Uganda (FAU) together with betPawa Uganda unveiled a new brand identity for the Futsal Super League.

This is on a backdrop on the partnership the leading betting company signed with the Federation of Uganda Football Association ( FUFA) in September. Under that partnership, betPawa agreed to sponsor three FUFA properties- with the Futsal Super League among them. The other two were the FUFA Big League and the FUFA Drum competitions.

betPawa now becomes the title sponsor of the Futsal Super League, and now it will be called the BetPawa Futsal Super League for at least the next one year.

While speaking at the brand unveiling ceremony,Allan Tumushabe, the Managing Director Chop Gaming which trades as betPawa Uganda said that they are here for serious business.

“We are here for serious business” Tumushabe said before adding; “We will do our part as our partnership with FAU is concerned.”

Hamza Jjunju, the FAU Chairman couldn’t hide his excitement for this huge milestone in the game of Futsal in Uganda.

“We are excited to have betPawa on board, as this gives us the opportunity to develop the Futsal sport to compete better. betPawa takes the naming rights of Futsal Super League, and now, it will be called the betPawa Futsal Super league.” Hamza Jjunju noted.

Apart from taking the naming rights, betPawa will give a Locker Room Bonus ( LRB) to all players of the winning team who make the squad list per match. This bonus will be UGX 15,000 for each player and will be sent directly to their phones immediately after they win.

“We are very excited to be partnering with FAU. As part of it, we shall provide all the 12 teams with kits. All the winning team members will each receive UGX 150,000/= as a locker room bonus for their efforts” – betPawa Country Marketing Manager Ivy Nyonyozi noted.

The other benefits of this sponsorship will be the awards at the end of the season where the most valuable players, best goalkeepers and young players will be celebrated and appreciated.
