There is still plenty to be decided in the final fixtures of the 2022/23 Futsal Super League, which includes several scenarios that could involve tiebreakers coming into play to decide the champions.

Keep the calculators stowed away, Futsal Super League Rules and Regulations are clear to guide on number of potential tiebreaker scenarios in which teams could finish tied on points at the top.

Below you will find the official list of tiebreakers as stipulated in Article 23 of the Futsal Association of Uganda (FAU) rules and regulations.

  • Should two or more teams finish tied on points in the standings, their final position on the table shall be determined on head-to-head results where results between the teams involved will be used to determine the best team.
  • If the two or more teams have the same head to head record, then fair play table will be used to separate the teams involved.
  • An if the two teams can’t still be separated, a mini league or playoff will be used to determine the best team of the league. The involved teams will verse each other in games to decide the winner.

Heading into the last Matchday, Yeak and Kisenyi FC are level on points(19) after eight games played. Yeak Kabowa sits first on the log because of the head to head.

They beat Kisenyi FC 5-3 in the first leg fixture. These two teams face each other in one of the games on the seasonal finale. The winner from this game might turn out to be the 2022/23 champion.

Before that game, Yeak will play Edgars FC while Kisenyi will battle Kampala Junior Team. If both teams win their game, Kisenyi will need to beat Yeak in by atleast a three-goals margin to win the title.

Good luck to both teams.
