Newman Foods becomes Primary Schools Futsal League official snack partner

Leading Snacks business and fresh produce export company, Newman Foods has become the Primary Schools Futsal League official Snack partner.

This was confirmed by the Futsal Association Uganda ( FAU) on Wednesday morning immediately after the release of the Primary 6/U12 fixtures.

The P6/U12 League will kickoff on July 1st, will be played across three consecutive Saturdays to close off the termly round robin league.

“Watching youths play with smiles on their faces is part of what Newmans foods is about. ” Newman Foods Commercial Director Rosette Najjemba Segujja said in her remarks after the partnership was confirmed

“As a brand that aims to create a positive impact, Futsal and the flare around it was an easy pick.

“Futsal is a healthy option of how the youth can spend their free time and what better way to do it with than with a Newmans Snack.

“Because of this, we will be giving out goodies during the Primary School Futsal league.

“As the official half-time snack, We will reward the best players with Newmans goodness because that’s what we are “the best”.

FAU EXCOM Member Ghulam Ssengendo also said he is very happy that Newman Foods has come on board for the Primary Schools Futsal League

“I’m thrilled to have Newmans foods on board as our snack partner. ” Ghulam noted

“As the Primary School Futsal League, a healthy halftime snack will go a long way in helping FAU send the right message out to the youth.

“A healthy mind needs a healthy body. Who better to achieve that with than Newmans foods.”

Twinbrooks International School, White Angels Primary School, Rays of Grace Primary Schools, Teletubies Primary School and Crayon Preparatory School are the schools that will take part in inaugural league.

Each school will play eight games per term in the different age groups and the team that will win all three terms/age groups will be crowned overall champion.

This league is designed by Futsal Association Uganda (FAU) in a way that it offers a balanced program between futsal and education content.

The balance between sport and education will create awareness about the role of sports in putting forward topics such as fair play, healthy lifestyle (balance between body, mind, and soul), respect, the joy of effort, and the pursuit of excellence, which are all Olympic sport values.
