Ssembatya Muhammed summons Select Ugandan FSL Team ahead of Somalia friendly

Head coach Ssembatya Mohammed has summoned his Select Ugandan FSL side ahead of two friendly games against FSL Somalia Select side.

The 12-man squad consists of two goalkeepers, four defenders, three wingers and three pivots.

All these players played and were impressive in the just concluded 2022/23 Futsal Super League, where Yeak Kabowa were crowned champions for the second time.

The first leg of these two friendly games will take place on Saturday 15th July, 2023 at O’Kla Futsal Arena, Old Kampala before the second leg on 22nd July on the same venue – with both games played at night.

Ssembatya, who has won the most FSL titles in the history (2) will be assisted by two ladies, Namatovu Sharon ( Assistant Head Coach) and Nalweyiso Resty ( Goalkeeping Coach)

This is the second time, the Uganda’s select team will be versing Somalia’s team. The first encounter happened in 2018, which Somalia won comfortably over two legs (5-3).

Pivots: Julius Kassaga ( Kisenyi FC) , Andrew Kanyanga ( Yeak Kabowa) , Eddie Ssebandeke (Kabowa Dream Team)
