Mengo City FC etched their names into Ugandan futsal history after dismantling Kabowa Dream Team 6-1 to win the Futsal Super Cup and complete a historic domestic treble at the Old Kampala Futsal Arena on Friday.
The victory saw Mengo become only the second club to achieve the feat, joining Park FC, who won the treble during the 2023/24 season under head coach Sulaiman Matovu “Malouda”.
Having already clinched the betPawa Futsal Super League and the Futsal Uganda Cup earlier in the campaign, Mengo capped off a remarkable season by finally laying their hands on the elusive Super Cup title.
Billy Nkata gave Mengo an early lead in the second minute before Victor Kazibwe levelled matters for Kabowa Dream Team four minutes later.
Samuel Omara restored Mengo’s advantage in the 11th minute, handing the league champions a 2-1 lead heading into halftime.
Mengo returned for the second half in ruthless fashion, taking complete control of proceedings.

Joshua Aziku netted a quick-fire brace in the 23rd and 28th minutes to stretch the lead to 4-1 before Mugenyi Swabur put the game beyond reach with two more goals in the 30th and 35th minutes.
The emphatic victory finally ended Mengo’s long wait for the Futsal Super Cup, a competition in which they had previously suffered heartbreak on several occasions.
It also brought down the curtain on a memorable 2025/26 season, with Mengo ending the campaign as undisputed kings of Ugandan futsal after securing all three major domestic honours.
