Entebbe Cheetahs Women booked their place in the Women’s Futsal Uganda Cup final after defeating Kisenyi Ladies 3–2 on penalties following a 2–2 draw in regulation time at Old Kampala Futsal Arena.
The Cheetahs made a bright start and went ahead in the 5th minute through Hilda Nankya, who finished confidently to hand Entebbe an early lead.
Kisenyi gradually grew into the match and found the equalizer late in the first half. Leila Nassuna scored in the 18th minute to level the contest and send the teams into the break tied at 1–1.
The second half produced more drama as Nassuna struck again in the 32nd minute to complete her brace and give Kisenyi the lead.
However, Entebbe responded quickly. Rukia Namusooke scored in the 34th minute to restore parity at 2–2 and keep the Cheetahs in the contest.
With neither side able to find a winner in the remaining minutes, the semifinal was decided by penalties.
Entebbe Cheetahs held their nerve in the shootout, converting three spot kicks to Kisenyi’s two to secure the victory and progress to the final.
