Matchday 15 of the 2024/25 betPawa Futsal Super League delivered thrilling action, with Edgars Youth Programme extending their winning streak to three matches, while Mengo City maintained their unbeaten run, now stretching to 14 games.

Edgars Stage Stunning Comeback

Edgars Youth Programme showcased resilience and fighting spirit at the Old Kampala Futsal Arena, rallying from two goals down to edge Crown Lubiri 4-3 in a dramatic encounter.

Crown Lubiri started strong, with Abdulhamid Ahmed netting twice by the 14th minute to give them a 2-0 lead. Charles Okello pulled one back for Edgars, but Abdinasir Omar restored Crown’s two-goal cushion before halftime.

However, Edgars responded brilliantly in the second half. Mustafa Ssemakula struck just before the break to make it 3-2, and Andrew Mwebase equalized soon after the restart. With time running out, Ssemakula stepped up again, netting the winner with under three minutes left to complete a stunning turnaround.

This victory follows recent wins over Nansana ASKA and Busunju Sparks, marking an impressive resurgence for Edgars in the second round of the season.

Mengo City Dominate as Park FC Stay Ahead

Mengo City continued their dominant run with a commanding 8-3 victory over Kisugu FC. Ian Tugume led the charge with a hat-trick, while Samuel Omara, Sharif Opuuli, Male Anthony, Abdulkarim Tebera, and Mike Simbwa each added a goal to seal an emphatic win.

The victory extends Mengo City’s unbeaten streak to 14 matches, keeping them just two points behind league leaders Park FC.

Earlier in the day, Park FC reaffirmed their title ambitions with a crushing 9-1 win over Lubaga Grameen. Jalil Zimula bagged a brace, while Michael Abura, John Kitanda, Joshua Aziku, Hamzah Ntahugira, Shafiq Mulangira, and Alfred Ssebunya all found the net in a dominant display.
