The teams that will compete in the quarterfinals of the Frenzy Edition of the betPawa Futsal Super League have been confirmed after the conclusion of the group stage games on Friday.
Qualifying from Group A are Crown Lubiri and Park FC. Crown Lubiri finished at the top of the standings with six points, while Park FC, who had lost their first game, staged a remarkable comeback to secure their spot in the next round with an impressive 8-2 win over Busunju Spaks. The victory was fueled by hat-tricks from Frank Nsubuga and Owen Othieno.
n Group B, Kabowa Dream Team finished top of the log with four points, garnered from their two games, after securing a unique 3-0 victory over Nansana ASKA without even kicking the ball, as Nansana failed to show up at the Arena on Friday.
Joining Kabowa in the quarterfinals from Group B is Kisenyi FC, who also finished the group stages with four points, thanks to an early group victory over Nansana ASKA and a draw against Kabowa Dream Team.
From Group C, Edgars Youth Programme and QC Mbarara have progressed to the next round. Both sides finished on four points, having each secured a victory over Lubaga Grameen, and also played out a draw against each other.
Meanwhile, in Group D, Mengo City and Kabuusu Clouds have completed the lineup of teams in the knockout stages. Mengo City finished first in the group with six points, courtesy of a 4-1 win over Kisugu FC on Friday.
Kabuusu Clouds finished second in the group with three points, having secured a victory over Kisugu on the opening day of the group stages.
The quarterfinals of the Frenzy Edition of the betPawa Futsal Super League will be played next Friday, with the winners from the four ties advancing to the semis to be played in April.
