Fiyore Sports Club delivered a resounding 4-0 victory over QC Mbarara on Friday evening, claiming the last remaining slot in the Futsal Uganda Cup Round of 16.
The Somali side made a blistering start, scoring three goals inside 12 minutes through Osman Sanqol, Mohammed Gaabow, and Abdiweli Sabca. This early onslaught left QC Mbarara struggling to regain footing.
In response to this, QC manager Mohammed Ssembatya made triple substitutions, introducing Gibran Ndukukire, Idi Babu, and Vincent Abigaba. The changes briefly shifted momentum, with QC controlling possession but unable to breach Fiyore’s stout defense throughout the game.
Fiyore sealed the win midway through the second half as Ahmed Thomas capitalized on a counter-attack, expertly finding the bottom-right corner.

With this convincing victory, Fiyore joins the 15 other teams already qualified for the Round of 16, setting the stage for an electrifying next round.
In the next round, Fiyore will take on Lubaga Grameen Youth while competition defending winners Park FC will battle Edgar’s Youth Programmee.
Before this Round of 16 Qualifier game, the Futsal Association Uganda Executive Committee ( FAU EXCOM ) Team, helped by Omar Ali, Hassan Majid and Abdifatah, beat the Futsal Club Owners 3-0 in an exciting curtain raiser game.
