In the second half, Park maintained their dominance, with Samuel Kalyango and Anthony Africa coming off the bench to further extend their lead with two more goals.

A late consolation goal from Arafat Ssentogo was all Luzira could muster, as they suffered their third consecutive defeat against Park.

This triumph sees the unbeaten Park side amass 47 points, placing them comfortably ahead of Kisenyi FC, who are now their nearest challengers.

In other fixtures on Thursday, Kisenyi secured a comprehensive 6-0 victory over Edgars Youth Programme, buoyed by Julius Kassaga’s hat-trick. Meanwhile, Lubaga Grameen staged a comeback to overcome Kabowa Dream Team 5-2, with Michael Lubowa and Abdulkarim Omar both scoring twice.

The remaining matches of matchday 17 are scheduled for Friday evening, with Kawempe aiming for their maiden victory against Nansana ASKA, while Kisugu will host Kampala Junior Team FC.

Aidenal will clash with Mengo City in the final game of the day, as both teams look to bounce back from last week’s setbacks.
