In what’s undeniably the standout game of the season so far, Park FC orchestrated a stunning comeback, triumphing 4-2 over Mengo City and maintaining their flawless winning streak this season.

Mengo made an explosive start, seizing the lead mere minutes after kickoff. Hersi Mohammed capitalized on Umar Ssebuliba’s excellent work, slotting the ball into an empty net.

Mengo’s dominance persisted till halftime, effectively silencing Park’s attacking threats.

However, the tables turned swiftly after the break. Park’s Derrick Walugembe unleashed a brilliant strike, equalizing the scoreline.

Soon after, Walugembe turned provider, setting up Abasi Muluya for a simple tap-in, igniting jubilation throughout the stadium.

Adding to the momentum, Abura Michael extended Park’s lead to 3-1 shortly after.

Despite their lead, the 2021/22 Futsal Super League champions faced adversity when John Kitanda received a second yellow card and Alex Ssegawa was red-carded for dissenting a referee’s decision.

Down to four men, Park remained undeterred. Gibran Nduhukire sealed the victory with a remarkable chip over the onrushing Mengo goalkeeper.

Mengo managed a late consolation through William Sseguya’s goal.

This win catapulted Park alongside FC Luzira at the top of the standings, both teams amassing a perfect 15 points from their initial five games.
