The Futsal Super League – Uganda’s national Futsal competition is one of the beneficiaries from the Federation of Uganda Football Association ( FUFA) partnership with BetPawa, a leading online sports betting site.
The partnership worth Shs. 1.18billion ( $320,000) was announced on Wednesday morning in a ceremony held at Fairway Hotel, Kololo.
FSL will take Shs. 74 million ($20,000) from the sponsorship while the FUFA Big League and FUFA Drum will take $150,000 each. The partnership is a one-year renewable package.

This partnership is a significant investment in our local players and teams, and together, we can enhance the experience for fans and players alike. We are creating more opportunities for all those involved in Ugandan football.” Ntoudi Mouyelo, Mchezo Africa Manager Director said.
“This partnership marks a pivotal moment for Ugandan football. It is more than just financial support; it is a firm pledge to the future of our beloved sport, a promise to double down on our shared vision for progress.” said Moses Magogo, the FUFA President.
In his word, the Futsal Association Uganda chairman Hamzah Jjunju expressed his excitement for this major sponsorship from BetPawa.
“Am very happy because this is the first time we are having this huge partnership. We knew that these partnerships and sponsorships will come if we package our product very well.” Hamza enchoed before adding;
“Money is not always enough, but this sponsorship is more than just money, it’s about empowering and promoting our teams, players and the league itself”
“As FAU, we are going to deliver so that we continue producing the finest talents in Uganda. “
As part of this sponsorship, all participating Futsal Super League will receive training and matchday kits , plus there will a Locker Room Bonus ( LRB) for all the winning teams.
“Under this partnership, we are introducing the Locker Room Bonus which offers players fast and direct benefits from the game. The winning players who make the squad list for that match will get cash tokens sent to their phones after the game. It will be 25% of the value of this partnership,” explained Ntoudi on the LRB.
So all title winning players will each receive a Locker Room Bonus worthy Shs.150,000/-
Furthermore under this partnership, Awards have been put in place to reward the best players in the league. The awards will include the MVP of the Season, Best Goalkeeper, Coach , Players of the Season, Most Assists and Young Player of the Season.
