The 2025–26 Men’s Futsal Uganda Cup, organized proved to be a high-octane showcase of talent, bringing together ten of the country’s top clubs. From the opening qualifying rounds to the high-stakes finale, the tournament’s knockout format ensured that every second on the pitch mattered.


A festive of Goals


Across 13 total matches—comprising six qualifiers, four quarterfinals, two semifinals, and the grand final—the competition was defined by relentless attacking football. Fans were treated to a staggering 68 goals, with several scorelines highlighting the offensive firepower on display.


The semifinals saw a particularly dominant performance from Mbarara QC, who dismantled Edgars Youth Programme in an 11–2 rout.

Ironically, Edgars had been on the other side of a blowout just a round earlier, having secured their semifinal spot with a clinical 11–5 victory over Lubaga Grameen.


The Final Showdown


The tournament culminated in a clash between Mengo City FC and Mbarara QC. While the match remained competitive throughout, Mengo City’s superior finishing eventually wore down Mbarara. With a decisive 6–3 victory, Mengo City FC officially claimed the title of 2025–26 Men’s Futsal Uganda Cup champions.


The “Own Goal” Phenomenon


One of the more unusual statistics of this edition was the frequency of errors at the back. A total of 13 own goals were recorded, affecting teams across the board, including Mbarara QC, Kisenyi FC, Entebbe Cheetahs FC, Mengo City FC, and Lubaga Grameen. While often a result of the sport’s frantic pace, these accidental strikes played a surprising role in shifting the momentum of several key fixtures.


Standout Performers


Individually, the tournament was a playground for clinical finishers. Gibran Nduhukire of Mbarara QC led the pack, finding the net 7 times to finish as the overall top scorer.
