The 2025/26 Futsal Women Super League kicked off in thrilling fashion at the Old Kampala Futsal Arena, ushering in a new chapter for women’s futsal in Uganda.
It was Entebbe Cheetahs who stole the show on opening day with a commanding 8–0 victory over Lamansia Sports Club. The Cheetahs displayed ruthless efficiency and attacking flair, announcing themselves as early title contenders.
Their triumph was powered by Namugenye Rahma and Nakayenga Brenda, who each netted a brace, while Nakya Hilda, Namuyanja Judith, and Namusoke Rukia also found the back of the net to complete the emphatic win.
In another exciting clash, QC Mbarara edged Mengo City 2–1, thanks to a brilliant performance from Aidah Namuwoge, who scored twice to hand the western side a vital opening victory. Namatovu Sharon grabbed Mengo City’s only goal in the tightly contested encounter.
