The inaugural Futsal tournament at the 2025 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Ball Games II concluded in style on Thursday, 17th July at St. Peter’s College main playground in Tororo, with Mukono Kings High School writing their name in the history books as the first-ever champions.
Introduced for the first time at these games, the Futsal competition attracted six schools and was played in a round-robin format. Each team faced the other once, and at the end of five thrilling match days, it was Mukono Kings who stood tallest.
The Mukono-based side finished unbeaten, collecting 13 points from four wins and one draw. Their campaign was headlined by a ruthless 8-0 win over Seroma Christian High School, further asserting their dominance.

Kakungulu Memorial School claimed the silver medal with 10 points, edging Kyadondo SS—who also amassed 10 points—on goal difference. St. Francis SS Busunju ended fourth with 6 points, followed by Seroma Christian in fifth on 4 points. St. Mark’s College Namagoma closed the table without registering a point.
The official awarding ceremony was held on Friday, 18th July at King George Memorial Stadium, rounding off what has widely been described as a successful and exciting Futsal debut.
With standout performances across the board, the USSSA 2025 Futsal Team of the Tournament was revealed, celebrating the best individual players in their respective positions:
