In a night painted with passion, drama, and no shortage of goals, Kisenyi FC stamped their authority on Ugandan futsal by claiming the inaugural betPawa FSL Frenzy Edition title after an unforgettable 8-4 victory over Crown Lubiri at the buzzing Old Kampala Arena.

From the first whistle, the air was electric. Both teams traded cautious touches for the opening ten minutes, each searching for a crack in the other’s defense. Then, a moment of brilliance lit up the arena. Justus Ssempijja—Kisenyi’s livewire—danced past his marker and slipped the ball beyond the onrushing keeper to give his side a deserved lead in the 12th minute.

But Crown Lubiri weren’t to be silenced. Barely had the cheers died down when Abdul Shakur Hamud unleashed a ferocious strike from outside the box to level the score, reminding everyone that this final was far from decided.

Kisenyi, unfazed, hit back almost instantly. Muhammad Abdulkadir, with vision and flair, threaded a perfect pass to Justus who calmly slotted home his second of the night. Yet, just as Kisenyi looked to close the half ahead, Muhammad Mahmood found space and fired in an equalizer seconds before the break—2-2 at halftime, and all still to play for.

Kisenyi returned from the dressing room with one mission—seize control. And who better to lead the charge than Justus? Within two minutes, he completed his hat-trick, and before Crown could catch their breath, “Starboy” Abdi rifled in Kisenyi’s fourth. The game had tilted.

But Crown fought back again. Sharif Muhammad gave them hope in the 30th minute with a composed finish. That hope was short-lived as Waleed Bashir restored the two-goal cushion for Kisenyi. Then came a pivotal moment—Crown’s Mahmood, already booked, saw red for a reckless foul on Ibrahim Azabo. Down to four men, Crown’s spirit began to fray.

Justus, ever dangerous, saw his shot deflect into the net for his fourth and Kisenyi’s sixth. Crown, to their credit, pulled one back through Muhammad Hassan, but it was Abdi again, tapping in a pin-point pass from Justus, who made it 7-4.

With Crown’s defense reeling and fouls piling up, the pressure told. A sixth foul gifted Kisenyi a penalty, and Waleed stepped up to slot it home—8-4. The match’s final minutes turned chaotic. Cards flew. Sharif Muhammad and Abdul Shakur Hamud received their marching orders for Crown, while Waleed saw red for Kisenyi after a heated exchange.

The final whistle blew, and the arena erupted. Kisenyi FC, with flair, grit, and unrelenting spirit, had conquered the Frenzy Edition of the betPawa FSL.

Before the final, a third place playoff game was played, and Mengo City emerged victories as they beat QC Mbarara 5-1.
