Mengo City pulled off a sensational comeback to defeat Kisenyi FC 4-3 and lift the Futsal Uganda Cup in a breathtaking final that had it all—early goals, a hat-trick, multiple penalties, and last-minute heroics.

The game sparked to life just three minutes in, when Male Anthony gave Mengo City an early lead. But Kisenyi’s star forward, Mohammed Abdulkadir, quickly took control of the narrative. He equalized in the 9th minute, converted a penalty two minutes later, and completed a brilliant hat-trick just before halftime, sending Kisenyi into the break with a commanding 3-1 lead.

But Mengo City weren’t done.

They returned with renewed intensity in the second half. Farouk Tumwesigye ignited the fightback with a clinical strike in the 23rd minute. Pressure mounted on Kisenyi, who committed several fouls, eventually conceding a penalty that Abdulkarim Tebera converted in the 32nd minute to bring the game level at 3-3.

Despite missing two more penalties—first by Samuel Omara, then by Tebera—Mengo kept pushing forward in search of a winner.

Their determination paid off in the dying moments. With less than three minutes left, John Musasizi blasted home a ferocious strike to hand Mengo City a stunning lead and complete an unforgettable turnaround.

Kisenyi had one final chance to force penalties, but Mengo goalkeeper Stuart Kafuluma came to the rescue with a remarkable double save in the final seconds, sealing victory and sparking wild celebrations.

Having already secured the BetPawa Futsal Super League, this Cup triumph completes a domestic double for Mengo City. Now, with the Futsal Super Cup against Park FC on the horizon, Mengo have a golden opportunity to make history with a season treble. Park won the treble last season unbeaten in the whole season.
