The Futsal Association Uganda (FAU) has officially released the fixtures for the 2024/25 Futsal Uganda Cup.
The announcement came after a draw ceremony that followed the FAU’s third Annual General Meeting.
The tournament will begin with the qualifiers, where four teams will compete for a single spot in the round of 16.
The first qualifier will see debutants QC Mbarara take on Lamansia on 26th September, while on the same day, the second qualifier will pit Kabowa Dream Team against Nansana ASKA.
The winners of these matches will face off on 4th October, with the victorious team earning a place in the round of 16.
Aside from the qualifying teams, 15 other teams are already set for the round of 16, which will take place from 11th to 18th October.
Park FC, Kisenyi FC, Edgar’s Youth Programmee, Lubaga Grameen, Grameen Academy, Kabuusu Clouds, Busunju Sparks, First Touch Sports, Motion Sports, Crown Lubiri, Aidenal, Entebbe Cheaters, Mengo Sports Academy, Kisugu FC and Nansana ASKA Academy are the teams already in the Round of 16.
The tournament will follow the traditional knockout format, progressing from the round of 16 to the quarterfinals, semifinals, and ultimately the final.
Park FC are the defending champions, having triumphed over Luzira FC in last season’s final.
Other past winners include Luzira Thunders, Dream Team, and Yeak Kabowa.
