Azteks Soccer Academy, Michezo Kids, and Kampala Junior Team ( KJT) have finished the first round of U14 Futsal Leagues on top of the log in their respective groups.
Azteks finished round one of the U14 Girls’ Futsal League with a perfect record, having won all their six games.
This is after they won both of their game played on Friday after defeating KJT 2-1 before just edging past Habanomu 1-0.
Habanomu had earlier beaten Kick It Soccer Academy 1-0.
At the end of the first round, Azteks lead the log with a maximum of 18 points, followed by Habanomu with 12.
In group A of Boy’s League, KJT, inspired by topscorer Joseph Sebuufu beat Junub Academy 3-1 to secure the top spot at the end of the first round.
Coming into that game, JUNUB had a one-point lead over KJT, but after the game, the Mansoor Kabugo’s founded side had leapfrogged their rivals.
Before that game, Junub had humiliated Edgar’s Youth Program 7-0 while KJT had humbled Soccer For Life 6-2.
With six games played in the group, KJT lead the log with 15 points, two above JUNUB who sit second. Edgar’s Youth Program sits third with four points while Soccer For Life is last with only three points.
After securing four points in two games played on Friday, Michezo consolidates their top spot in group B with 11 points in six games.
They first came from behind to beat Edgar’s Futsal Club 2-1 before drawing 3-3 with Henry’s Soccer Academy.
The other game in Group B saw Henry’s Soccer Academy defeat Edgar’s 2-1.
Michezo will go into the second round with 11 points in six games, four ahead of Edgar’s Futsal Club and Henry’s Soccer Academy, who are both tied on seven.
Round two of both leagues will happen next holidays between August and September.
