Futsal product Kizza makes mark in hippos opener

Former futsal graduate Joseph Bukenya Kizza bares witness to the continued successes of a moderately new game to the eyes of Ugandans adding to the rising number of talents that trace from a futsal background.

The sensational forward made his mark when he netted the closing goal while Uganda Hippos U-20 broke no sweat to score six past Burundi during their opening fixture at the 2020 Cecafa Championships.

Bukenya played for Park Futsal Club during 2018/2019 Futsal Super League season only featuring in 5 games scoring 14 goals before being laid off for the reminder of the season with a knee injury.

The Futsal graduate came on as a substitute to kick start a good road to the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations for the Hippos at the Cecafa tournament that doubles as the Zonal Qualifiers for the U-20 Continental showpiece.
