FSL Round 2:“Eyes on the prize”- Synergy’s Ssenyondo
Synergy Futsal Club Head Coach- Senyondo Brian asserts that his team are only in it for the triumph.
After an impressive start to the 2021 Futsal Super League, the Victoria Nile group leaders can only work for a clean slate in Round Two.
In a Question and Answer session with the FAU website, we capture Head Coach Brian Ssenyondo’s profound optimism.

What’s your team’s assessment around the performances and results of Round One? Which factors have been against or for your team?
Our team has performed quite well during the first round games, we managed two wins and a draw and that’s something spectacular to build on going into the second games. Many thought we were underdogs coming into this league but the boys have tried there best to prove doubters wrong.

As first timers we were challenged by the rules of the game which were new to us but the boys tried to adjust real quick
Whats the current shape of your squad ahead of round 2-any injuries or misses? Who has been your most outstanding player during the first round of 3 games?
We shall be welcoming back Ivan Irinimbabazi who missed our last game due to a toe injury but the rest of the squad is ready for the next challenge. Sulaiman Kimbugwe has so far been the most outstanding player in our squad, he has been very instrumental in the 3 games we have played so far and we hope he continues with his fine form.

How different do you expect your team to perform contrary to the first round results?
We can now set our eyes on the prize, we want to win this league and our focus is on winning all the remaining group games. We want to maintain our status as the table leaders and we are ready to show how badly we want to be up there this weekend.
Synergy shocked run-mates Kisenyi Futsal Club in the last encounter on Match day 3 and shall only hope for such stingy showing in Round 2.
