FSL Round 2: Park seek redemption, face tougher task against Kisenyi

Park Futsal Club will want to quickly forget their below par first round performances of the 2021 Futsal Super League.

The two sides-Park and Kisenyi only managed a four all draw in their opener and now meet under extremely different circumstances.

The experienced giants- Park FC are yet to look like it collecting only two points after 3 games knotting it all with a humiliating loss against Kabowa most recently.

However, their Head Coach Segawa Alex believes there is still chance for redemption ahead of the second round;

“The first round hasn’t gone our way at the very least, we haven’t performed this poorly in our entire history, we made major changes in the squad prior to the transfer window which were majorly due to the poor player discipline and loyalty. The same is in the past and we now believe we’re ready to mount the much needed challenge”- Segawa disclosed

About the current shape of their Squad

We shall continue to miss Rica Arch Byaruhanga (AFCON Beach Soccer National Team duty) and two other players with minor knocks sustained through training. Other than that we’re good to go. I don’t have one player to single out but rather evenly attribute the the performance to the entire team.

About the Second Round

Like reiterated earlier, we’re ready to mount a challenge.

Park Futsal Club sit bottom of the Victoria Nile group with just two points and the worst defensive record (13 conceded ) in the group.

Kisenyi Futsal Club

On the other side, Kisenyi Futsal Club will hope for a much better showing than they did on Match day 3 that saw them beaten by a solid Synergy who now sit 3 points top of the log. We capture their Head Coach Sulaiman Ssekanyo’s views ahead of the second round;

Kisenyi Futsal Club Head Coach Sulaiman Ssekanyo(L)

“The performance in first round wasn’t that bad; we have a draw, win and lose that’s 4 points. We are in the second position in our group (Nile) so it’s fair. The main factor which affected us was injuries. But the team is in good shape and ready to for the second round and players who were on injuries have returned and they are training well ( Dahir Ahmed Abdihamid and Hussien Abdala SADAM ) though Ibrahim Ali Abdukadir sustained injury in the ankle when we played against Synergy Fc”

“My outstanding players were Nsubuga Farouk and Nsereko Brian. I have much faith in my team and expect much better performance in the second round Insha Allah because we want to play up to the finals.”- He added

Kisenyi Futsal Club’s Playmaker Abdulkadir Fabri

Kisenyi will want to pile more misery on Park whom they almost defeated on Match Day 1 having rallied from 2 goals down to salvage a point.
