FAU Statement On The Covid – 19 Pandemic

Futsal Association Uganda – FAU wishes to inform the entire public and the Futsal fraternity that following the State of Nation by the President of the Republic of Uganda and further guidelines from the Ministry of Health on the Covid-19 Pandemic, otherwise known as corona virus, we have decided to postpone the Futsal Super League and the Futsal Uganda Cup until further notice.

The health of our athletes, officials, fans and the entire Futsal fraternity is paramount at this trying moment. Although no cases of Covid-19 have been reported in Uganda so far, it is important that we work as a team and take protective and preventive measures to counter the possible spread of this epidemic to our fraternity, families and the public at large.

This is to therefore urge all of you to follow the Ministry of Health and World Health Organization guidelines for the health and safety of our people. We shall keep you posted in case the situation normalizes and or after clearance from government and Ministry of Health.
