In a finale that lived up to the hype, Mengo City staged a ruthless second-half comeback to overwhelm Entebbe Cheetahs 6-2 and be crowned the first-ever champions of the Futsal Women Uganda Cup.

The match began as a cagey tactical battle, with both sides locked in a 0-0 stalemate for the opening ten minutes. Entebbe Cheetahs drew first blood in the 12th minute when Namugeye Rahman found the net, but Grace Assimwe leveled for Mengo at the 17-minute mark, sending the teams into halftime deadlocked at 1-1.

The Cheetahs seemed to regain control early in the second half when Nankya Hilda scored in the 25th minute to make it 2-1. For a moment, it looked like Entebbe might hold on to make history.

Then, the Mengo storm arrived.

In the 28th minute, Angel Nakito found the equalizer to make it 2-2, a goal that completely shifted the energy of the match. With the momentum back in their favor, Mengo City went on a tear. In the 34th minute, Grace Assimwe took the game by the scruff of the neck, striking twice in rapid succession to complete her hat-trick and flip the score to 4-2.
