The Futsal Uganda Cup will reach its climax this Friday, 13th March, when Mengo City face QC Mbarara in the final at the Old Kampala Futsal Arena.

Both teams come into the decisive match in strong form after convincing semifinal performances that highlighted their attacking quality.

QC Mbarara, meanwhile, produced one of the most dominant performances of the tournament when they swept aside Edgars Youth Programme 11–2 in their semifinal. The western Uganda side spread the goals across the team, with Kenneth Majara netting a hat-trick while Gibran Ndikuhire delivered a standout performance with four goals. Owen Othieno, Eria Kabagambe and Shafic Mulangira also found the net, with an additional own goal completing the rout.

Gibran Ndikuhire has scored seven goals in the Futsal Uganda Cup

Ndikuhire has been one of QC Mbarara’s most influential players throughout the competition. The Ala has consistently delivered in key moments and will once again be expected to lead the attack as QC chase the trophy.

The final therefore pits Mengo’s resilience and Aziku’s finishing against the free-scoring attack of QC Mbarara. With both sides showing they can score goals, the stage is set for an intense and entertaining contest as the two teams battle for the Futsal Uganda Cup title on Friday night.
