Kisenyi Ladies will face Entebbe Cheetahs Women on Friday evening at the Old Kampala Futsal Arena, with a place in the Women’s Futsal Uganda Cup final on the line.
Kisenyi reach the semifinal after a determined 2–1 win over Edgars Youth Programme in the quarterfinals. Their progress was even more remarkable after goalkeeper Florence Nakyambadde was sent off early in the game, forcing the team to play most of the match a player down. Despite the setback, Kisenyi remained disciplined and held on to secure their spot in the last four.
Resty Nambalirwa has been one of the key figures in Kisenyi’s attack. Her movement and finishing ability continue to trouble defenders, while Aisha Nabukenya has provided stability in midfield, helping the team transition from defense into attack.
Entebbe Cheetahs also arrive in the semifinal with confidence after eliminating QC Mbarara in the quarterfinals. Their performance in that match highlighted their organization and ability to punish opponents on the counter.
The semifinal brings together two sides that have shown resilience at different stages of the tournament. Kisenyi will look to build on their fighting spirit from the previous round, while Entebbe Cheetahs will hope to carry the momentum from their upset victory.
With the final within reach, Friday’s contest is expected to be tightly contested as both teams push for the last remaining place in the championship match.
