The Futsal Uganda Cup quarterfinals served up goals and drama, with Mengo City FC and Lubiri Falcons Futsal Club sealing their spots in the last four after convincing performances.
Mengo were simply too strong for Entebbe Cheetahs FC, running out 7–0 winners in a one-sided contest.

Ian Tugume opened the scoring in the 3rd minute, finishing calmly to give Mengo an early advantage. From there, the tempo barely dropped. Joshua Aziku added the second in the 12th minute before Akram Ssali struck twice in quick succession — in the 14th and 16th minutes — to send Mengo into the break with a 4–0 cushion.

The second half followed the same pattern. Ssali completed his hat-trick in the 26th minute, effectively putting the game beyond Entebbe’s reach. Tugume grabbed his brace in the 37th minute, and Sam Omara wrapped things up a minute later to complete a dominant team display.

In the other quarterfinal, Lubiri had to dig deep to edge Kisenyi FC 2–1 in a tightly contested affair.

Hassan Kalule gave Lubiri the perfect start with a 3rd-minute opener, and Katumba Abdulrahman doubled the lead in the 14th minute to put them in control at halftime.

Kisenyi responded after the break and pulled one back through Baker Arinda in the 33rd minute, setting up a nervy finish. They pushed forward in search of an equaliser, but Lubiri held their shape and saw out the remaining minutes to secure their place in the semifinals.

Elsewhere, Mbarara QC defeated Kabowa Dream Team FC 4–2, while Edgars Youth Programme cruised past Lubaga Grameen 11–5 in a high-scoring encounter.

The semifinal lineup is now confirmed:
✅Mbarara QC
✅Edgars Youth Programme
✅Mengo City FC
✅Lubiri Falcons Futsal Club

With a place in the final at stake next Friday, the competition is only getting tougher.
