Old Kampala Futsal Club’s brilliant start to the 2025/26 Futsal Super League season continued on Friday evening as they secured their third consecutive victory with a commanding 5–2 win over Edgars Youth Programme at the Old Kampala Futsal Arena.
Abasi Muluya and Ahmed AbdiNasirr were the standout performers of the night, each scoring a brace to power Old Kampala’s dominance. Abukar Kulane added his name to the scoresheet with a well-taken goal, sealing a performance that keeps Old Kampala firmly among the early-season pace-setters.
Despite the defeat, Edgars showed glimpses of quality, with Isaac Apenyo and Andrew Mwebasa finding the back of the net. However, their efforts were not enough to trouble an in-form Old Kampala side that continues to look sharp and confident.
With this victory, Old Kampala joins defending champions Mengo City as the only two teams with a perfect record so far this season.
Meanwhile, Kisenyi’s woeful start to the campaign took another painful turn as they suffered their fourth straight defeat, losing narrowly 4–3 to Nansana ASKA.
ASKA were inspired by youngster Muhammad Daule, who scored a brilliant brace to complement strikes from Perfect Muzusangabo and Santos Tulyasasira.
Kisenyi fought bravely, with goals from Baker Alinda, Ronnie Assimwe, and Mohammed Sharif, but their efforts once again fell short. The result leaves Kisenyi pointless after four games, while ASKA celebrate their second victory of the season from four outings.
In the other game played on the day, Lubiri Falcons, helped by an Arafat Ssentongo hat trick, held on to overcome Kabowa Dream Team 6–4 in a thrilling encounter.
In the Futsal Women Super League, Entebbe Cheetah secured a 3–1 victory over Grameen FC, while Mengo City continued their strong start with a comfortable 3–0 win against Lamansia.
