The 2025/26 Futsal Super League officially kicks off on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the Old Kampala Sports Arena, ushering in another thrilling season of futsal action in Uganda.
A rich menu of six matches will light up the opening day, starting as early as 4 PM and running late into the evening.
The curtain-raiser will feature Lubaga Grameen taking on Nansana ASKA at 4 PM.
That encounter will be followed by a battle of debutants as UG Kop FC faces Lubiri Falcons at 5 PM.
The third duel of the day will see another newcomer, Lamansia FC, face off with a rebranded Old Kampala FC—a side that has been busy in the transfer market, signing top talent including last season’s Futsal Super League top scorer and FUFA Futsal Player of the Year, Ilyas Omran (from Kisenyi FC), along with Abasi Muluya and Micheal Abura from Park FC.
As dusk sets in, defending champions Mengo City will begin their title defense at 7 PM against Entebbe Cheetahs, who are making their first appearance in Uganda’s top-flight futsal league.
To close the opening day, Kisenyi FC will take on Mbarara QC at 8 PM, before Kabowa Dream Team locks horns with Edgars Youth Programme in the final fixture of the evening.
The Futsal Super League is one of the premier products organized by the Futsal Association Uganda (FAU), a body under the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA).
This season’s edition will be played in a single round-robin format, featuring 66 games that will run until June 12, 2026.
Beyond the flagship league, FAU has lined up a busy 2025/26 futsal calendar that includes six additional competitions, underscoring the association’s growing commitment to inclusivity and grassroots development.
Among the new introductions are the Futsal Women Super League, Futsal Frenzy Women Championship, and the Girls Uganda Cup—each designed to expand opportunities for women and young players across the country.
