USSSA Ball Games II: Seven Schools Set for Historic Inaugural Futsal Competition

Seven prominent secondary schools are set to make history as they take part in the inaugural Futsal competition at the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Ball Games II slated for Tororo.

The participating schools include: Seroma Christian High School, Dynamic Secondary School, St. Francis SS Busunju, Kyaddondo SS, Mukono High School, St. Mark College and Kakungulu Memorial School.

Their participation was confirmed on Thursday evening following the official release of fixtures by Mulindwa Ismailah, the USSSA Futsal Technical Commissioner.

The competition will be played in a round-robin format, giving each team a chance to face all others. Matches will be hosted at St. Peter’s College playgrounds (Pitches I and II) from Saturday, 12th July to Thursday, 17th July 2025.

This marks a significant milestone for the sport, as Futsal makes its official debut at the prestigious USSSA Ball Games II. The inclusion of the fast-paced indoor sport reflects USSSA’s growing commitment to diversifying its sports calendar and embracing modern formats.

Futsal now joins over 20 sporting disciplines featured in this year’s edition of the Ball Games II, including: CAF Football (U‑14 & U‑16), Basketball (U‑16 and 3×3), DanceSport, Woodball, Beach Soccer & Beach Volleyball, Lacrosse, Mind Games (Chess, Ludo, Scrabble),Volleyball, Netball (Girls only), Handball, Athletics & Cross Country, Rugby 7s, Cricket, Gymnastics and Baseball & Softball

The Ball Games II continue to grow in both scale and diversity, providing young athletes with platforms to showcase their talents, develop discipline, and promote national unity through sport.
