Ilyas Omran, the prolific pivot from Kisenyi FC, has been named the Futsal Player of the Year 2024 at the prestigious MTN FUFA Awards Gala held on Friday evening at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
Omran delivered a sensational season, finishing as top scorer in both the betPawa Futsal Super League and the Futsal Uganda Cup. He scored a staggering 41 goals in the league and added 13 more in the cup competition, where Kisenyi FC finished runners-up to Mengo City.
His consistent, match-winning performances were central to Kisenyi’s impressive campaign, earning him nationwide acclaim and the coveted individual accolade.
Omran edged out fierce competition from Farouk Tumwesigye of Mengo City and Joshua Aziku of Park FC to claim the honor—cementing his status as one of Uganda’s premier futsal talents.
