The atmosphere is electric as two of Uganda’s top futsal clubs — Kisenyi FC and Crown Lubiri FC — gear up for a high-stakes clash in the final of the Frenzy Edition of the betPawa Futsal Super League (FSL). With pride, legacy, and the championship on the line, the Old Kampala Futsal Arena is primed for a thrilling U17 showdown this Friday.
Both teams have carved unique paths to the final — one driven by free-flowing attack, the other by steel and composure under pressure.
Route to the Finale
Kisenyi FC

The Sky Blues began their campaign in Group B, announcing their intent with a 4-2 win over Nansana ASKA, followed by a 2-2 draw against Kabowa Dream Team. The results were enough to see them top the group with four points, setting up a quarterfinal clash with Edgars Youth Programme.
In a tense, end-to-end encounter, Kisenyi edged Edgars 4-3 to book a place in the semifinals. There, they turned on the style — led by Somalia U17 international Mohammed Abdi — dismantling Mengo City 5-1 in a commanding performance that underlined their title credentials.
Crown Lubiri FC

The Somali-rooted side have been a model of consistency and resilience throughout the tournament. They topped Group A with a perfect record, cruising past Park FC (4-0) and edging Busunju Spaks (2-1).
The knockout stages, however, demanded nerves of steel. After a dramatic 3-3 draw in the quarterfinals against Kabuusu Clouds, Crown Lubiri held firm in a nail-biting shootout, advancing 7-6 on penalties. Their semifinal against Mbarara QC ended 1-1 after normal time, but once again, their calm from the spot saw them triumph 5-3, sealing their place in the final.
Friday’s finale isn’t just a battle for a trophy — it’s a celebration of two proud communities, both with strong Somali heritage, whose passion for the game has lit up the Futsal Super League stage.
Kisenyi’s flair vs Crown Lubiri’s resolve. A perfect storm awaits. Who will rise, and who will fall?
