Ashiraf Kyakuwa, a talented youngster from Edgars Youth Programme, is poised to make a name for himself at the U17 AFCON tournament in Morocco.
As part of the Uganda team competing in the tournament, which kicks off on March 30 and runs until April 19, 2025, Kyakuwa is eager to showcase his skills.

This season, the St. Mary’s Kitende student has already made an impact in the betPawa Futsal Super League, scoring two goals while featuring in almost 50% of the games.
The U17 AFCON tournament is a prestigious competition that also serves as a qualifying event for the FIFA U17 World Cup, scheduled to take place in Qatar. Ten African teams will earn a spot to represent the continent at the World Cup.
Kyakuwa, who will don shirt Number 8, and his teammates will face stiff competition from other talented young players, including Morocco’s Ibrahim Rabbaj, who has already made a name for himself with an impressive record.

We wish Ashiraf Kyakuwa and the Uganda team all the best as they take on the best of African youth football in Morocco!
