Edgars Youth Programme made history in the betPawa Futsal Super League, becoming the first team in Ugandan professional futsal history to score 15 goals in a single match.

Their superb and record-breaking performance happened on Friday evening at Old Kampala Futsal Arena, where they demolished bottom-of-the-table side Busunju Spaks 15-1 in a Matchday 14 game.

The match was all but over by halftime, with Edgars Youth Programme scoring an astonishing nine goals in just 16 minutes of the opening half.

Youngster Brian Olwa stole the show with five impressive goals, while Bob Atendele added four goals to the tally. Waiswa Amri scored a remarkable hat-trick, and Eze Kombi and Feni Alfred both scored doubles in this record-breaking victory.

Busunju Spaks managed to pull a consolation goal back late in the game, courtesy of Collins Talemwa.

This victory marks Edgars Youth Programme’s second successive league win after the break, following their 3-2 triumph over Nansana ASKA last week. They now sit 10th on the log with 12 points from 14 games.

Next up, Adam Masembe’s side will face Crown Lubiri, who have struggled with consistency over the past few weeks.
