Defending champions Park FC have dealt a significant blow to Crown Lubiri’s unbeaten run, handing them their first loss in the betPawa Futsal Super League. The Rangers emerged victorious in the top-of-the-table clash, winning 3-1 in an exciting game played at the Old Kampala Futsal Arena on Friday evening.
Fresh from being crowned the December Ssaka Bulk Hauliers Player of the Month, Abasi Muluya Junior got off to a flying start, scoring early to give Park the lead. The team’s momentum continued to build, and Michael Abura doubled their advantage in the 36th minute with a well-taken goal.

However, Crown Lubiri refused to give up, and they pulled a goal back through Abdinasir Omar’s spot kick just a few minutes later. Despite this setback, Park FC remained focused and determined, and Joshua Aziku sealed their victory with a sublime strike in the later stages of the game.
This crucial win has sent Park FC to the top of the league table, marking a significant turning point in the season. Crown Lubiri, who had previously been unbeaten, suffered their first defeat at the hands of the defending champions.
The highly anticipated match lived up to its billing, with both teams showcasing their skills and determination. In the end, Park FC’s superior performance earned them the win, and they now sit atop the league table with 24 points in nine games. They hold a two-point advantage over Crown Lubiri and a one-point lead over Mengo City, who were the highest scorers of the day.
Mengo City had a resounding 7-0 win against Nansana ASKA in the late kickoff of the day. Ian Tugume scored a hat-trick, while Sharifu Opuuli found the back of the net twice. Farouk Tumwesigye and Male Anthony also scored one goal each.

In another thrilling match, Kabuusu Clouds came from behind to defeat bottom-placed Edgars Youth Programmee 8-3. Tonny Ssemwogerere scored a hat-trick for Clouds, while Najib Muwonge and Gaddafi Bazanyanengo scored two goals each. This was the highest-scoring game of the day, with Clouds’ impressive comeback securing them a crucial win.
Kabowa Dream Team also returned to winning ways, beating Kisugu FC 5-3 in a closely contested match. Meanwhile, Kisenyi FC once again surrendered a three-goal lead, this time drawing 4-4 with Lubaga Grameen. Despite taking an early lead, Kisenyi FC were unable to hold on, allowing Lubaga Grameen to mount a comeback and earn a share of the points.
