Park FC’s Abasi Muluya Junior has been awarded the Ssaka Bulk Hauliers Player of the Month Award for December. Abasi’s impressive performance in the betPawa Futsal Super League earned him this recognition, with 13 goals in just four appearances during the month.
Abasi faced stiff competition from Mengo City’s Sharifu Opuuli and Kisenyi FC’s Ilyas Omran, who also had notable performances in December. Opuuli scored four goals and provided a couple of assists, helping Mengo City move up to third place in the league. Meanwhile, Ilyas scored six goals for Kisenyi in November.
As the league’s top scorer, Abasi started the month with a hat-trick against Edgars Youth Programme. He followed this up with another hat-trick in Park FC’s 5-2 victory over Kabowa Dream Team on Matchday Six. On Matchday Seven, Abasi scored twice as Park FC defeated Nansana ASKA 4-0. To end the month, he scored five goals against Busunju Spaks, taking his season’s goal tally to 20 in just eight games.

The criteria for choosing Abasi as the winner included a public/fans vote, which accounted for 30% of the total votes. Abasi finished in second position with 9% of the votes, level with Opuuli and behind Ilyas, who received 12% of the votes. The Secretariat vote, which accounted for 70% of the total votes, was won by Abasi, who received 39% of the votes, ahead of Opuuli, who finished in second position with 31%.
