Kabowa Dream Team Suffers First Defeat as Park FC Bounces Back to Winning Ways

The 2024/25 betPawa Futsal Super League resumed on Friday evening with the Matchday five game, marking a significant turning point in the season. Kabowa Dream Team suffered their first loss, while Park FC returned to winning ways.

Kabowa Dream Team’s unbeaten streak came to an end as they fell to Crown Lubiri in a thrilling top-of-the-table clash. The Somalis staged a remarkable comeback to secure a 2-1 victory, leapfrogging their opponents in the process.

Carlos Kaddu put Kabowa ahead in the opening half, but Osman Sharmarke equalized for Crown shortly after, leaving the scores tied at halftime. With only five minutes remaining, Hassan Ahmed scored the winning goal for Crown, handing Kabowa their first defeat of the season.

With this result, Crown moved top of the log and remain the only unbeaten side in the betPawa FSL this season.

Defending champions Park FC, meanwhile, bounced back to winning ways by brushing aside Edgars Youth Programmee 5-2 in the last game of the day. After their invincibility streak was broken last weekend by Grameen, Park were guided to victory by Abasi Muluya Junior, who scored a hat trick to complement goals from Joshua Aziku and Hassan Ntagulira.

Park now move to 12 points garnered in their five games, while Edgars remains bottom with no points.

Other winners on Friday included Nansana ASKA, Mengo City, Kisenyi FC, and Grameen. ASKA won its fourth game of the season by humbling Busunju Spaks 6-2, with Swaib Kazibwe netting a brace.

Mengo City won its third consecutive game by easily beating Kabuusu Clouds 6-2. Kisenyi held on to overcome Kisugu 3-2 and finally return to winning ways, while Grameen, helped by Andrew Kayanga’s brace, won its second consecutive game with a 3-2 victory over troubled QC Mbarara
