Futsal U14 League star Arnold Mark Kakande has completed his move to Transition Football Academy.
The 11-year old was unveiled on Friday evening by the South African academy after having put pen to paper on a special 3-years programme until at least 2027.
Kakande, playing as one of the pivots, was one of the star players in the inaugural U14 Futsal League last year while featuring for Junub FA.

The youngster started his soccer journey at 3 years with Edgar’s Youth Program, he joined Proline Academy at 7 years for two years. He then joined Excel academy at 9 years for one year, and eventually joined Junub Academy .
According to his father – Mr Chris Kakande, playing in the U14 Futsal League aided Kakande in moving to South Africa.
“Yes, absolutely.” Kakande’s dad said before adding, “We created a short video clip from the U14 Futsal League, which we shared with some contacts in South Africa, and that is how Transition invited him for some trials in December last year where he was very impressive. He was with the academy for two months ( December 2023- January 2024)
As an official academy partner of Scottish giants Celtic FC, Transition is preparing Arnold for trials with the Celtic Academy when he turns 14. Chris is confident in his son’s future, emphasizing the importance of balancing school and soccer development over the next three years.
“What is important for me at his age is for Arnold to keep in school, and also get exposed to proper training and soccer development for the next 3 years. Transition is preparing him for trials in Scotland’s Celtic FC when he turns 14 years, and because of the partnership they have with the club
We wish Arnold good luck in his endeavors in South Africa
