Kisenyi Futsal Club climbed to second place in the betPawa Futsal Super League standings on Friday following a convincing win over Lubaga Grameen, completing a league double over their opponents.

Entering Friday’s match in third place, Kisenyi aimed to surpass FC Luzira in second with a victory, which they achieved in impressive fashion, defeating fourth-placed Lubaga 4-0.

Julius Kassaga starred with a hat-trick, while AbdiKarim Abdullahi Ahmed added another goal to seal the win for Kisenyi.

With this result, Kisenyi now sits in second place on the league table with 31 points from 14 matches, just seven points behind league leaders Park FC and one point ahead of Luzira.

In other Friday night fixtures, Nansana ASKA and Kabowa Dream Team emerged victorious in their respective matches.

Despite a slow start to the second round, ASKA secured a hard-fought 3-2 win over Aidenal FC, bouncing back from a disappointing run of results.

Meanwhile, Billy Nkata’s remarkable four-goal performance propelled Kabowa Dream Team to their biggest win of the season, dismantling Kawempe 9-2.

The 2023/24 betPawa Futsal Super League action will resume this week with Matchday 15 scheduled to kick off on Thursday, March 21st, and conclude on Friday, March 22nd.
