betPawa FSL: Park go eight points clear atop after Luzira’s loss to KJT

Park FC extended their lead atop the betPawa Futsal Super log to eight points on Thursday evening after capitalizing on Luzira’s loss to KJT.

In the first game of the day, Luzira had suffered a shock 4-3 defeat to Kampala Junior Team, allowing Park to extend it’s lead.

Despite falling behind early in the game courtesy of Derrick Male’s strike for Edgars, Park quickly responded, with captain Shafiq Mulangira leveling the scores from a tight angle.

By halftime, they were already as Samuel Kalyango tapped in Gibran Nduhukire’s superb through pass from close range.

Park continued it’s momentum into the second half, with Derrick Walugembe scoring two quick goals to put his side 4-1 up by the 25th minute.

Despite John Kitanda being sent off with almost 10 minutes left and Amos Wabwire’s goal for Edgars, the log leaders held on to secure their 12th victory of the season, moving eight points ahead of Luzira.

In the only other game played on Thursday, Kisugu’s impressive form continued as they secured an important 4-2 victory over rivals Mengo City.

Majara Kenneth netted twice to add to Timothy Oyamot’s opener for Kisugu, while Farouk Tumwesigwe and William Sseguya found the back of the net for Mengo.

Matchday 14 action will resume on Friday evening with three fixtures, starting with the highly anticipated battle between Kisenyi FC and Lubaga Grameen.

Next up will be Nansana ASKA taking on Aidenal FC, before Kabowa Dream Team battles point-less Kawempe FC.
