After nearly four weeks of hiatus, Uganda’s esteemed Futsal league makes a comeback on Thursday evening, hosting three electrifying matches at the Old Kampala Futsal Arena.
Edgars, currently ninth in the standings with 12 points, kick off the second round with a clash against second-bottom Aidenal FC.
Following that, second-placed Luzira FC, runners-up in the Futsal Uganda Cup, will face off against Kabowa Dream Team in a highly anticipated matchup. Luzira, trailing Park by six points, aims to narrow the gap to three by securing a victory over a formidable Kabowa side. Notably, Luzira overcame a resilient Kabowa team 5-3 in their previous encounter, rallying from a three-goal deficit.

Meanwhile, Kabowa seeks to capitalize on their recent form, having secured a 5-3 victory over Lubaga Grameen and held Park FC to a 2-2 draw in the first round. Currently eighth in the standings with 14 points, a win could propel them to sixth place, surpassing both Kisugu and Mengo City.
The final match of the evening will feature Kampala Junior Team (KJT) facing off against the point-less Kawempe FC.
KJT enters the fray after a dismal performance before the break, accumulating just 10 points in 11 games, with six consecutive winless outings, including five losses.
On the other hand, Kawempe endured a challenging debut season, remaining without a point after suffering defeat in all 11 games.
In their initial encounter, KJT dominated Kawempe with a commanding 6-1 victory, briefly claiming the top spot at the onset of the season.
Matchday 12 promises more excitement on Friday evening with three additional fixtures:
- Kisugu, riding a wave of good form, will square off against third-placed Kisenyi FC.
- Park FC, the undefeated leaders, will engage in a battle against Nansana ASKA.
- Mengo City will host Lubaga Grameen in the inaugural Mengo derby of the second round.
