Park FC asserted their dominance in the betPawa Futsal Super League, remaining the sole undefeated team this season.
In a thrilling clash against FC Luzira, the 2021/22 champions secured a commanding 4-1 victory at Old Kampala Futsal Arena on Thursday.
Abasi Muluya, coming off the bench, showcased his prowess with three second-half goals, complementing Gibran Nduhukire’s first-half contribution to the emphatic win. Luzira managed a consolation goal, courtesy of Joshua Aziku’s penalty in the second half.
With this triumph, Park FC now leads the league, boasting a perfect 18 points from their six games.
In contrast, Luzira, having dropped their first points this season, slips to third place with 15 points.
Simultaneously, Kisenyi FC, previously unbeaten, faced their first loss of the season, succumbing 4-3 to Edgars Youth Programme.
Despite Ategeka Marvin’s early equalizer, Edgars took control with two goals from Amos Wabwire, leading 3-1 at halftime.
Kisenyi fought back with Abdulkarim Abdullahi’s double, but skipper Eze Kombi secured Edgars’ victory with a late goal.
This defeat places Kisenyi in second position with 15 points, while Edgars Youth Programme secures their second win of the season, currently sitting eighth with six points.
In another riveting encounter, Billy Nkata’s five-goal heroics propelled Kabowa Dream Team from behind to a 5-3 triumph against Lubaga Grameen.
Andrew Kayanga (2) and Michael Lubowa scored for Lubaga in the losing effort.
Matchday six action continues on Friday evening with three fixtures: Nansana ASKA facing bottom-placed Kawempe, Kisugu battling Kampala Junior Team, and Mengo City confronting an Aidenal challenge.
