The first ever FUFA Futsal Beginners Coaching Course officially came to a climax on Friday with 34 participants rolled out.
The course that started on Monday was aimed at improving coaches knowledge about the game
It was organised by FAU under the auspices of FUFA and Ben Mwesigwa, an experienced Futsal Instructor facilitated the five-day course which involved both theory and practical lectures .
” The purpose of this course was to introduce coaches to the game of Futsal” Ben Mwesigwa noted in his remarks on the purpose of the five-day course.” Ben Mwesigwa said in his remarks at the climax of the course.
“We currently have the league going on but our players are not playing Futsal in the proper way, so we hope after coaches completing this course, we shall be able to see in change in the way futsal is played across all various competitions”
Among the 34 who attended and completed the course, four were ladies who included former Crested Cranes Head Coach Olivier Mbekeka.
“I am glad that I have learnt Futsal because it’s very interesting. I have learnt several Futsal tactics and techniques and I wish I started with learning Futsal first” Mbekeka said in her remarks.
“This course is going to help me teach and offer more knowledge to both my men and female footballers”
The other three were Namatovu Sharon, Namugenyi Dorothy and Resty Kyampirwe.
This is the second course FAU, with the help of FUFA, are organising after the 2021 MA Futsal Referees Course that was held at Africa Bible University in Lubowa.
